1 foot high and risin

How high's the water mama?

Back at square one. My training has officially started "again". After starting the year feeling pretty damn good about my training and even better about becoming a runner, I really hit the skids when I developed the shin splint. I never thought it would take as much out of me as it did, but I have been fighting with myself for the last month about getting my ass back out on the trail. This morning, 5:15 at the Veterans Memorial State Park in Cordele, GA, I finally beat myself back into submission.

2.75m in 25'48". A paltry pace at best, but when I finished, I felt like a runner again. I can sense traces of the confidence that I lost with the injury. I can feel it coming back again...and I love it.

Tapping Ductile

Tapping Ductile
When treating ductile iron, the first transfer (from the furnace to the tundish ladle) is where magnesium is introduced to the molten iron. As the magnesium is enveloped by the iron, it burns white hot.
