25:20

Well, the Historic District Preservation Society 5K is in the books. I ran well, but maybe not as all out as I could have. That said, the kick that I gave at the end didn't leave me with much by the time I hit the line. The mileage was not marked on the course so I was not able to time my splits. But at the two mile mark, there was a man there giving everybody times. Mine was 16:39. That means that I ran the 1st two miles in an 8:20 average and the final 1.1 in 8:40. That's a 7:53 mile pace!!!!! I just did the math on that and I am really excited about this!

After the race, I ate a banana and drank a little water. After about 10 minutes or so, I headed down to the river walk and ran another 3.6 miles in 38:00. That was a 10' 30" pace or something like that. It felt great though and I got in almost 7 miles for the day. I'm resting today and will run Monday and Wednesday this week to get ready for Currahee.

This is what it feels like outside...
