Anyway, to the running, Saturday proved a good rest day filled with football and relaxing. That was until about 6:00 when John and I decided to head over to the Auburn-West Virginia game. Got there just in time to have the bottom fall out on us, then cram like sardines into the stadium trying to get to our seats. It was unbelievable! More crowded than Mardi Gras, but without the alcohol and the beads. It ended up being worth it though. Auburn prevailed in a real scrappy game.
Sunday morning, started with Sunday school and then skipping church for Speakeasy...It was there that I got a phone call about furnace problems in Cordele. Seems that life in Cordele is always going to involve periodic turmoil with our melt equipment. More gray hair and 4 letter words have sprung forth from me on account of those furnaces than anything else in my life...combined.
So here I sit, on Sunday evening...in Cordele. I arrived down here around 7:15 and by 7:45 or so, I was running. I got in a 6.34 mile loop that took me past the plant, Smoakies, over Exit 102 and back around Pecan St. Lot of fun running tonight. Finished in 58'57". Not great, but for the distance, it wasn't all bad either. 9'18" pace.
For week 7, the plan is 3-6-3-12. This will be the biggest week yet. I'll try to get started on Tuesday...we'll see.
