Righting the Ship

8.1 miles tonight in the rain...Thunder and lightening served as interesting company, not providing comfort but definitely a little bit of inspiration. I am a day late on this run, but I got it in. Tomorrow, I'll follow with a 3 miler around lunchtime and then be ready for my first long run in some time on Saturday. A 13 miler. 13. That's practically a half marathon. It's also a distance milestone for me. I expect it to be every bit of a 2 and 1/2 hour morning...maybe more! We'll see.

On the faith front, it never fails that as soon as I am confident that the Lord is moving in my life, I am bombarded with things to distract me. This plays out at work, at home, basically all aspects of life. I've struggled maintaining my focus this time...more so it seems, but maybe not. I am certainly more aware of my inconsistency now and it bothers me more. I think that is good.

Thanks to Theresa and G-money for the comments on earlier posts. It's very encouraging to have folks interested, but more so to hear their thoughts.
